they are provided at the event.

BEGINNER

YOU’VE BEEN ASKING FOR TWO YEARS SO HERE IT IS

Learn two techniques of wire wrapping and come home with two pendants you made for yourself.

1st technique – learn to wire wrap anything elongated like crystals, stones, sea glass and in this case a coral branch.

2nd technique – learn to wrap a cabochon ( a flat cut stone ) like cameos, old broken pendants, coins…but you will be wrapping a turquoise cross pendant.

All I Want is Red Sea Glass Like Rudolph’s Nose For Christmas

Rudolf in the Smithsonian?

Santa, I’d like a piece of Red Sea Glass like his nose.

A vintage idea so loved it has a place in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History..That’s staying power!

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer first appeared in 1939 when Montgomery Ward department store asked one of its copywriters, 34-year-old Robert L. May, to create a Christmas story the store could give away to shoppers as a promotional gimmick.

The retailer had been buying and giving away coloring books for Christmas every year; and it was decided that creating its own book would save money. In the first year of publication, 2.4 million copies of Rudolph’s story were distributed by Montgomery Ward.

May’s brother-in-law, songwriter Johnny Marks, decided to adapt the story of Rudolph into song. Marks’ musical version of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” was recorded by Gene Autry in 1949.

While sorting through Sea Glass, one of these mugs is always at my side filled with my favorite warm beverage. They also serve as inspiration…knowing that this local artist ( Long Beach, Ca ) is doing what she loves. Once a year my friends and I will line up at her house for her seconds and clearance sale.

Ever wonder what to do with those pieces of Sea Glass that aren’t jewelry grade?

Found this great Christmas Tree surfing the web.

Such a fantastic idea, can’t wait to get started on my own

Sea Glass Christmas Tree.

The form is Styrofoam and industrial glue was used to piece on the Sea Glass, pearls and Star Fish…..Imagine how this would look in white Sea Glass.
